The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dublin is seeking a locally engaged staff member to support the Embassy during Ireland’s EU Council Presidency.

Time period: 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2026

Key responsibilities:

  • Organizational, logistic and administrative support for travel & hotel arrangements, meetings, events and visits
  • Research for and drafting of statements, speeches and opinions
  • Assisting with the coordination and communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
  • General office support

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Knowledge of Ireland, the Irish government structure as well as the Irish culture and society
  • Native-level English (spoken and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and in a well-structured manner
  • Ability to quickly and independently familiarize with new topics
  • Team player with a cooperative and very reliable working style
  • Proficiency in WORD, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and other commonly used office Software
  • Resilience and willingness to work occasionally outside regular office hours

Fluency in German (spoken and written) is an advantage. Previous experience in event management, an international or administrative environment or a political or media environment is an advantage. A driver's licence is welcome. The position is temporary, limited to the time period 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2026.

This is a full-time position with a working time of 39 hours per week.
The gross monthly salary is EUR 3,364.
