What is it for?

The portal’s objective is to make qualified professionals all over the world enthusiastic about a career in Germany. Underlying it is a “welcoming culture” in politics, society, administration and enterprise which invites migrants to stay in Germany. This is why Make it in Germany is much more than a simple information portal – it is the expression of a welcoming culture and a business card for Germany: it portrays Germany as a modern, diverse society and helps convey the friendly, cosmopolitan nature of the country.

Who is it for?

Make it in Germany addresses qualified professionals and people abroad who are interested in studying or training, as well as those who wish to do research or set up a business in Germany.

Make it in Germany has a separate section for German employers at www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-businesses. Here, businesses can find out more detailed information about recruiting and integrating international qualified professionals, as well as examples of best business practices.

How does it work?

The Make it in Germany was set up in 2012. Its central feature is the www.make-it-in-germany.com portal, which is available in German, English, Spanish and French. The content is continuously updated and new elements are added. As the portal evolves, the needs of the target group and requests are taken into account. Constant collaboration with the public bodies concerned ensures that the information provided is up-to-date and reliable at all times. Make it in Germany is intended to be a central hub for all questions about migrating to Germany, and bundles all the relevant information. Information is also available in brief in other foreign languages, for example on the country pages for India, Russia and Turkey. In addition to this, “Make it in Germany” is present at trade shows and events. Ideas and suggestions as to how to develop the Make it in Germany Web site are always welcome and will be taken into account where possible.
