Students of Coláiste Íosagáin in Dublin will present their ideas about the future of our planet and discuss their thoughts and hopes with the German Ambassador, H.E. Deike Potzel, Ronan Palmer of E3G, Third Generation Environmenta-lism and other guests.
Earth Speakr is a participatory work of art by Berlin-based artist Olafur Eliasson delivered by the Goethe-Institut and the German Foreign Office in the context of the German EU Council Presidency 2020. It offers children and young people an opportunity to exchange their ideas through the Earth Speakr app and interactive website, and thus to actively shape the evolving work of art.
The event is open to the public and free, but ticketed.
“The future lies in our hands and with our original Earth Speakrs we are being heard. We might be children but that does not mean we do not respect or appreciate our environment. On the contrary, we see the world in front of us very clearly through the eyes of children – eyes that are not blinded by money, politics or
corruption. The reality is: something has to be done! Now or never, before it is too late!” Students of Coláiste Íosagáin
