It has been the Ambassador’s great pleasure to welcome more than 70 kids and their families for the Easter celebrations at her Residence.
The afternoon started off with the eagerly anticipated egg-hunt in the springlike garden. It only took seconds until the garden was filled with excited kids filling their Easter baskets with chocolate bunnies and eggs.
The sun came out just in time to see the green light for the “Eierlauf” where the kids could prove their coordination by balancing an egg on a spoon and relay racing at the same time - a challenge equally exciting for the participants as well as the spectators.
For those who needed a rest after the egg-hunt there was tea and Easter cake and many sheets to do some colouring and painting.
After lots of running around in the garden for the kids and chatting for the parents the afternoon was brought to a close with grilled sausages.
After this happy Easter afternoon the Embassy is looking forward to other occasions allowing kids and their families to get to know more about German traditions.
