Willkommen auf den Seiten des Auswärtigen Amts
Our booking System is active.
Please note that the appointments shown online are the only and earliest appointments available. Unfortunately, because of the exceptionally high demand at present, it is possible that the next available appointments are only in several weeks.
When booking an appointment, please make allowance for the waiting time, as it is not possible at present, due to high demand, to offer appointments at short notice. In consideration of others, please refrain from booking multiple appointments.
Emergency appointments can only be issued in individual cases in an extreme emergency (for example death or illness in the family). In each case, you will need to produce evidence (death certificate, doctor’s certificate or the like), which may be verified.
Only in that case, please send us an Contact Form.
We make every effort to answer enquiries promptly. However, given the high volume of enquiries, it may take some time for us to get back to you.
German passport law does not provide any option to book passports online or by mail. You have to apply for your passport in person because we need to take your fingerprints for biometric passports.
There are reduced flight connections to and from Germany. Cancellations at short notice are possible. Ferry service from and to Ireland is available. Therefore, please check the websites of the airlines and the websites of the ferry companies.
